Nurturing Aspiration and Inspiration

The Jasmin Vardimon Company have been working with schools and colleges for over 20 years to inspire and educate young people. Jasmin Vardimon is a named practitioner on the A-Level & BTEC Performing Arts Dance Specifications and our resources and workshops are especially suited to those studying Vardimon’s work.

Workshops

We offer a range of workshops & residency projects either at JV H.O.M.E or in collaboration with another venue or educational establishment. Participants have the opportunity to experience Vardimons’s methodology first-hand by working directly with members of the Company.

Repertoire workshops consist of a warm up, learning professional company repertoire and creative tasks drawing on Vardimon’s unique creative approach. Workshops can be in relation to the company’s current touring production or past works by request and availability.

Creative projects that are longer and also allow time for participants’ ideas to be developed through the company’s creative process, culminating in a sharing of work by the end of the project. This could potentially include creative explorations of socially relevant issues that have inspired Jasmin’s work.

Dance & Technology Following the creation of Alice VR, we are now offering workshops in the use of video technology with dance, and more specifically dance & virtual reality. Participants will have the opportunity to watch ALiCE in VR Wonderland and then explore for themselves the potential outcomes of using a 360 degree camera in a given environment.
