Our story

Founded in 1998 and a leading force in British dance theatre for over twenty years, the Jasmin Vardimon Company has built a reputation for challenging and visually arresting dance productions infused with social and political commentary.

With the opening of JV H.O.M.E, a new building located in Ashford, Kent and dedicated to the company’s research, creation and multi-disciplinary creative learning programme, Artistic Director Jasmin Vardimon continues to add to an extensive body of critically acclaimed, artistically respected work both for her own Company and for some of the world’s leading arts institutions that she has collaborated with across the world. Having developed a uniquely individual choreographic voice, distinguished by beautifully detailed movement, insightful humour, and engaging drama, Vardimon is renowned for her physical and theatrical style. Incorporating innovative technologies, text and dance, her work is accentuated with an acute observation of human behaviour. As such, it is widely accessible, socially relevant, and always delivered by her company dancers with passion, skill, and commitment.

Jasmin Vardimon has been an Associate Artist of Sadler’s Wells since 2006, and her company tours nationally and internationally, performing at high profile theatres throughout the World.

Our ethos

The Jasmin Vardimon Company’s primary goal is to share artistic experience and knowledge, using the creative process developed by Jasmin and by providing a fertile environment for artistic growth and development.

JV H.O.M.E has been conceived as a place where artistic research and creative study sit side by side and feed into each other.

Through our work we aim to:

  • Create a positive impact on the world around us.
  • Build wider awareness of social concerns, stimulating opinions and ideas while remaining honest, flexible and open minded to others.
  • Nurture young talent, offering training and development in performance, while exploring the dialogue between dance & theatre.
  • Encourage a holistic approach, fostering emotional & thoughtful generosity to each other, during both performance and teaching.
  • Develop participants artistically, feed their curiosity and help them to grow and achieve their full potential.
  • Remain innovative & creative in our approach to our work.
