JASMIN VARDIMON COMPANY SEEKS NEW BOARD MEMBERS
We are seeking two new Board Members with expertise in Finance, HR and Legal.
A pioneering force in Dance Theatre, JVC is dedicated to the work of award-winning choreographer/director Jasmin Vardimon, an Associate Artist of Sadler's Wells, who is celebrated for her uniquely theatrical choreographic style combining physical theatre, dance, text and innovative technologies. The company's works are widely accessible through their exposure of human experience and contemporary social commentary, high quality performance, passion, skill and commitment. JVC tours nationally and internationally and attracts high profile commissioning support from organisations such as Sadler's Wells, National Theatre Studio, The Lowry and Brighton Dome & Festival.
The Company is entering an exciting new phase of development: securing major new international partnerships; expanding its Education Programme including a new Post-Graduate Certificate in Physical Theatre; commissioning new video software technologies for performance; and the launch of a new large-scale touring production in Autumn 2010.
Working with Artistic Director, Jasmin Vardimon and Executive Producer Ian Ross, the Board of Directors is responsible for agreeing the strategic vision, mission and purpose of Jasmin Vardimon Company, and for guiding the organisation towards achieving its goals.
JVC is an Arts Council England Regular Funded Organisation and is based in Brighton. Board meetings take place 3 times a year, usually in London.
Please note that this is a voluntary role. Expenses will be reimbursed.
